Overview

I work closely with students to nurture meaningful scholarly and professional growth on key issues of health and wellness. Our work supports societal adoption and application of powerful environmental health solutions to foster human-environment-animal harmony.

Human Health and Harmony (H3) Lab ()

My team does hands-on, applied public health project work, using exposure science and epidemiologic methods to promote the rigorous evaluation of the most promising public health solutions:

  1. Germicidal ultraviolet (GUV) air-cleaning for epidemic and pandemic control.
  2. Bioaerosol sampling to identify respiratory viral presence and evolution.
  3. Plant-powered foodscapes for population wellness, pandemic prevention, climate change mitigation, environmental and ecological harmony, environmental justice, and for the animals.
  4. Built environment decarbonization in ways that improve air quality and enjoyment in indoor spaces.
  5. Synthesizing and communicating – including through journalism, graphic design, media, art, film – and advocating for high-impact public health initiatives.
