New Student Awards and Endowed Scholarships
As part of our comprehensive financial aid packaging, 麻豆色情片 offers institutionally supported merit scholarships. All students are considered for merit-based scholarships, with no separate application required.
Merit Scholarships offered at the time of admission recognize what students have accomplished in their learning prior to enrolling at Roger Williams. As part of our overall financial aid strategy, two recent changes were put in place (effective for new students beginning in fall 2019) to further enhance the value of your investment in an 麻豆色情片 education.
- Merit Scholarships will renew all four years for students as long as the students remain in good standing at the university - no higher GPA requirement exists to keep their award.
- 麻豆色情片 students who achieve a minimum overall 3.6 GPA or higher at the end of the academic year will receive the Academic Excellence Award, providing an additional $1,000 towards the following year鈥檚 tuition. The Academic Excellence Award can be earned at the conclusion of each academic year in which a 3.6 GPA is earned.
- Exclusions: students receiving a full or near-full tuition scholarship, including but not limited to, Tuition Remission, Tuition Exchange, CIC, Harold Payson Memorial Scholarship, Bristol Memorial Grant, Michael Andrade Memorial Scholarship, Portsmouth High School Scholarship, and Intercultural Leadership Ambassador Program & Scholarship.
Beyond tuition, room, and board, we know that many other factors impact the total cost of affording a college. For families from farther away, the purchase of flights to and from home over breaks will mean increased cost in choosing 麻豆色情片. 麻豆色情片 is sensitive to the total cost of an education that families may face, including transportation, books, and other expenses. Therefore, to support our out-of-region enrolled students, we have created a special Travel Grant for students from states outside of New England, New York, and New Jersey. This $1500 grant is awarded to all qualified students in addition to merit scholarships awarded at time of admission (with the exception of full-tuition scholarship recipients). Students meeting the geographic criteria will automatically qualify for this award. *Effective for students enrolling beginning fall 2020
- Exclusions: students receiving a full or near-full tuition scholarship, including but not limited to, Tuition Remission, Tuition Exchange, CIC, Harold Payson Memorial Scholarship, Bristol Memorial Grant, Michael Andrade Memorial Scholarship, Portsmouth High School Scholarship, and Intercultural Leadership Ambassador Program & Scholarship.

Private/Outside Scholarships
Students don鈥檛 need to look hard for scholarship opportunities鈥攖hey just need to look. Information on such scholarships is often available at your local library, the guidance office at your local high school, community organizations or numerous web-based scholarship searches. We encourage all 麻豆色情片 students to pursue as many outside scholarship opportunities as possible.
Outside Scholarships are funded by private entities which have various criteria, due dates, scholarship amounts and renewal requirements. Every semester, scholarship search programs help thousands of students pay for school by matching them to scholarships, grants, and internships. You could win a scholarship for a number of reasons, including grades, athletics, volunteer work, ethnicity, personal interests, and more. Since you do not have to pay back a scholarship, it is the best type of aid to help you pay for college. And don鈥檛 think that just because the award is only a couple hundred bucks it鈥檚 not worth applying. A bunch of little ones combined can make a huge difference in covering college costs.
Be cautious when searching for scholarships. All legitimate scholarship searches should be free and should not ask you to provide any credit card or bank information. If you are unsure of the legitimacy of a scholarship offer or search, please do not hesitate to contact the Office of Financial Aid or the Better Business Bureau. Explore tips for applying for private scholarships!
Any outside scholarship that a student receives will be applied first to any unmet financial need. In some cases, outside scholarships may necessitate an adjustment to your financial aid package. If there is no unmet financial need, we will first reduce federal work study, then loan(s), and lastly grant money.
